i got a problem for my speeding ticket I got a month ago...
havent got any citation letter from ventura court...
the due date on ticket paper says 10/04....

so i called them today... said that i havent got citation paper yet... and i told my ticket number,name,license number etc...

but they said that they coudlnt find any info... so they told me to contact to california highway patrol...
called them.. said the same thing...

they said that i should bring the ticket paper to ventura court or something to find out... since i leave in santa barbara... i dont wanna really go there but...

will there be a chance if the officer who caught me didnt put my record or something...?? because its been a month now and they dont even have any info under my name,license number, ticket number etc...should i just stay be quiet

or i should go to all the way to ventura to show my ticket paper to not get introuble...

Did they give you a court date? If they did, show up and if they don't have their sh!t together, the judge will throw it out.

according to the ticket paper the officer gave me when he caught me.
" WHEN ON OR BEFORE THIS DATE 10/04/2010 TIME:12:00PM"


and what do you mean by

"Write down the dates and time you contacted the PD about this ticket"?

make a log, say like "I contacted ventura PD on this day at this time, and they told me this..... I also contacted the highway patrol on this date at this time and they told me this....

Are you sure it's not a warning?

I have seen tickects where the form is the same but there is a little check box.

There should be a website where you can check your status too.
But show up at the court on the date (go early).
If your ticket is still not registered, then it's etiher lost or something made it invalid.

might as well, the courts are all backed up this year with all the furloughs and shit.

this has happened to me before. What you should do is go to court. And then wait in line to talk to the clerk ppl. When they try and pull up your ticket and it doesnt show up they should stamp it with a date and sign it showing you went in just in case they somehow try to say that you never appeared in court.
