I heard he was going to some of the meetings about it to see how you could help out I think? They need support, I forget what he said the major road block was.

They needed a sound ordinance pushed through that would let them build the track, I posted the date for the meeting like the morning of or something and then couldn't make it myself, lol. The measure passed though, last I knew they had no major road blocks left to start construction!

Their plan was to setup one of those parking lots with AutoX in mind too, should be an awesome chapel of speed :)

Probably a year or two depending how much planning has actually been done and how much money they have.

Excited about driving on it but not so much following the build of something cool :)

Kind of like the ORP build last year. It was cool to see pics of the track come alive.

Haven't heard anything for sure, but I saw on another forum that the re-zoning was approved.

Here's an update that was posted on that other forum:

"The rezone has been approved.
After final planning and design are completed it will be submitted for the conditional use permit. That will take 45 to 60 days.
Prior to that, initial clearing (stump removal) and road construction can begin.

Alan Schwen, Bruce Lind, and Mike Sullivan will contribute to the design to insure maximum safety for motorcyclists.

They are hoping to be operational by mid summer 2011. That will allow test and tune and track days but it is to late to schedule any racing dates.

Good stuff!
