Brettus 08-15-2010, 11:45 PM Snag ? Get some of this .....
RXPLODE 08-15-2010, 11:56 PM lol ur funny brettus, well first i stripped the 02 sensor, so i have to buy a new one, im thinking about buying a universal 4 wire sensor and splicing it. for the life of me i cant get the manifold up into that space, im trying to do it with the turbo attached, i could have sworn ive read that people have done it like this before. did everyone else put the 2 up separately? also, how did everyone else get to the oil pressure sensor.....thats a fucked up spot to put such a thing.
Brettus 08-16-2010, 12:02 AM will I tell him or will you Greg ... LOL
gregs 08-16-2010, 12:03 AM go for it, its your turn...haha
Brettus 08-16-2010, 12:10 AM I'll be nice - have a read of this thread and see if you still have questions after that .

RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 12:20 AM fffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu................................
after reading that i want to hit mysellf in the face. i guess its too obvious, all i can do is laugh at myself. thanks for the link, now what to do with 02 sensor?
gregs 08-16-2010, 12:24 AM post a picture of the damaged o2 sensor..i have been able to clean them up with a file...
RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 12:24 AM oh yeah, i forgot to mention. after this im not swaping the turbo, i cant do this again......
RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 12:24 AM ill take a snap tuesday, the auto skilz center isnt open on monday....lame.
Brettus 08-16-2010, 12:25 AM get a 2nd hand one from Mazmart ... don't fit anything but the stock o2 sensor
gregs 08-16-2010, 12:26 AM brettus is correct stay away from the aftermarket o2 sensors
RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 12:30 AM ok, got it, also brettus in that thread are you talking about the bolts on the oil return? because im staring at that wondering how.....do u think it could be put on before i stick the turbo on?
Brettus 08-16-2010, 12:33 AM nope - put turbo in with the capscrew screwed in far enough such that you can slide the slotted return tube onto it later .
And get a ball ended allen key .....
RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 12:44 AM oic. time to take a trip to autozone. what about the oil sender? any tips?
Brettus 08-16-2010, 01:07 AM /\ pretty sure that was talked about in that thread i linked as well . With the motor mounts off it is a lot easier to get to ...
+1 on the motor mounts... drop 'em both.
RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 08:30 AM thanks to everyone for their advice. ill be trying all of this tuesday
Charles R. Hill 08-16-2010, 08:51 AM Mazda maniac?
Right team, wrong guy.
RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 10:36 AM what do u mean by that charles?
Charles R. Hill 08-16-2010, 10:45 AM Let's see;
1) My location listing used to say "Have tools, will travel" and that was how BHR was started. Easy_E1 now comes along with me for the big jobs and sometimes travels, himself, for other jobs.
2) I have 2 traveling toolbags, one weighs 38 lbs. and the other weighs 50 lbs. (according to the TSA).
3) I have been to GA, FL, WA, the East Coast, TX, HI, IL, CA, and maybe places I have forgotten, to do installs such as flywheels/clutches, turbo kits, supercharger kits, nitrous kits, alcohol injection systems, and engine removal/rebuild/reinstallation jobs.
4) I charge a LOT of money for it.
5) I am in CA about once a month.
Can anyone point out something I may have forgotten?
RXPLODE 08-16-2010, 11:15 AM ohhh.....hmmmm if i would have known earlier i would have set something up.....i think im half way thru n i think i can finish the rest.
gregs 08-16-2010, 02:35 PM I would highly recommended Charles from BHR...he knows a thing or two. .LOL

RXPLODE 08-17-2010, 09:06 PM i got a question, is the front and rear 02 sensors interchangeable? i mean i know they are different lengths but is that the only difference? would i be able to buy a rear sensor and extend the wiring?
Charles R. Hill 08-17-2010, 11:15 PM i got a question, is the front and rear 02 sensors interchangeable?
Absolutely not and it isn't generally suggested to go cheap on any of the sensors.
RXPLODE 08-18-2010, 12:06 AM balls. ok well time to go find me a new 02 sensor.
