Hello,

I am a new 2004 RX-8 owner and i was wondering what the best performance parts for this car are. Any advice? Anything i should know about the car in general? I honestly dont know a whole lot about it except for the fact that its one of the easiest cars i have ever drifted.
Thanx all!!!

Welcome! If you ever feel like going to a Dick's meet you should check the threads (we're having one this Thursday) and you'll learn a hefty deal about what you can do to these cars. Keep in mind these cars won't get a lot of performance gains unless you go FI, but there are some really fun things you can do to these cars :-) I'm looking into the Simota Intake right now myself. but that's just me.

Welcome again and have fun on the forum!

Don't feed the troll. Dude these same questions get asked at least once a week by some other noob too lazy to use the f-ing search button. :tool:

Read this thread! All of it. Don't post again until you do. It will save you a lot of frustration and flaming.

I would not get the Simota Intake. Do some searches on the intake to read the feedback from others :)

I have been, seems like a mixed review...But the sound is so nice!

What do you suggest PDX?

Racing Beat or Mazdaspeed/AEM. To be honest none will give much more than sound. But these intakes you will not lose HP. The OE intake is very well engineered. FWIW I have the Racing Beat intake.

Once you get your intake and exhaust figured out (really just a prefrence in sound if you pick any decent brand) you have to get a COBB AP to realize any new HP and TQ. Best $500 i spent on my car!!!
