Id come but I have band practice tonight, and usually every thursday night. Is this going to be a steady thing?

we are trying to have a meet once a week but we are not sure on the dates yet, so if you can't make it on thursday we will keep that in mind for the next meet, i will keep you updated, also we are trying to have a garage meet so we can work on our cars and just help each other out on whatever we need

a garage meet would be awesome! But yeah, i'll stay posted. Isnt this the sonic where the TST meet was shut down a few weeks back?

yeah my band typically practices every tues and thurs, but dont change the day on my account, im super busy and its gonna be hard for me to make meets regularly. I do have thursdays off every so often when we have a show on a friday night

step 1. Go to my friends shop at night ... put car on lift
step 2. Take out absurdly long torque wrench and WD-40
step 3. ???
step 4. Profit

^^ Installing the midpipe is an easy task, apply lots of wd40 and make sure there are no air leaks afterwards, if you need a hand let us know!

yea ... I installed my catback myself .. the biggest issue were the exhaust hangers .. they are a major pita ... I do not think I will have any trouble ... but thanks tho, I def appreciate the offer

yup his car has been flooded for months, iirc. so we need to get all that crap outta there.

Tell failsafe to take the sparkplugs out and dry them really good (burn the tips a little with a torch or gas stove), charge the battery to the max, and i think there is a fuse for the gas pump that it needs to be taken off than crank the engine with out the sparkplugs in a couple of times (to get the gas in the engine out) then plug fuse in sparkplugs in and crank it up. This is how i used to deflood my rx7 back in the days, or call my mechanic mario i could pm'you his number

I have new plugs. I could put them in, which would solve the issue entirely, but the concern is that the plugs are *not* the issue and then I'd screw up another set of them. Guess I'll have to grab a torch somewhere and try drying the original ones first.

We did the 'pull the fuse/crank/etc' method last night, although we didn't take out the plugs when we did it. I'm going to jack the car up when I get home from work to put new fog bulbs in, so maybe I'll try that while it's up. Like I said though, I don't have a torch to dry the existing ones out.

Does he do house calls? lol. I really don't feel like having the car towed at the moment. Although I could use my AAA membership if he's close enough I suppose.

I let the car sit all day saturday in the heat with the plugs out and took a wire brush and torch to the original plugs to clean them off. Francesco can vouch for how bad they were since I sent him a picture. Dear god. lolol.

Sunday night, I put them back in and tried getting it going and still nothing, although at least this time, it actually felt like it was trying to start. It almost did at one point, but after a while of trying, it still wouldn't.

Needless to say, I'm beyond aggrevated at this point. I had to restrain myself from calling the stealership this morning.

I can't believe that my optima red top is still going strong at this point though. lol

the ross meets were shut down. last meet was like 400+ cars. Talks are still going on for a new location.

I need to get ahold of a battery charger and then I'm just going to throw the new plugs in and give it another shot. I'm cautiously optimistic that it should do the trick *knock on wood*

Also...im thinking about selling my Racing Beat dual resonated midpipe...I'm gonna pop it out on thursday...anyone want it $275 (new retail is 330: its barely a month old and I have all hardware). And it can be installed since this week is the install meet.

i just got 17mm and 19mm impact sockets 1/2in drive. If you have another set of metric sockets 10-17mm and a 3/8in drive wrench...that should allow the other bay to be in use.

Thursday is gonna be 80F and sunny.

I know i need a bay since the bolts are PIA.
MarcMiller's cat back can be done on the street (easy 45min max install).
Lepichichi's springs need a bay.
failsafe's plugs can be done on the street (driver's side jacked)
baez's puddle lights can be done on the street or in the drive way
stinksause's mid pipe needs a bay.

As of right now I'm about 99% sure I will be attending. I will be there around 6 PM. Set me up with one of the easier installs.. something like an exhaust.. and definitely with someone who knows what they are doing.. right now Im pretty much just an extra set of hands.. btw do you want us to bring any kind of food? Or is sonic the plan for after all the installs? Let me know and Ill pick up some snack or drinks or something.. btw I just got a CEL come on within the last two days, if you have any sort of computer that can tell me what it means put me down for a check up on that one! There is an advance auto about 10 miles away that can read the code.

Just found out this is a good 30-45 min drive so if anyone wants to drive up let me know...knowing my GPS itll get me lost.

i was serious about the oil change haha... i wasnt sure if its worth paying to get it done or just do it myself...my cars due for one badly.

^ I am coming from newtown .... To change the oil properly ( ie drain your coolers) you should change it yourself, I doubt jiffy lube messes around with lifting the car side to side ... either way there will be a couple of cars on stands getting worked on and we will be happy to point out what needs to be done. It's quite simple
