Which would be the best set for Autocross / Street use? 9krpmrx8 04-16-2010, 11:11 AM OEM pads. heyarnold69 04-16-2010, 11:21 AM oem pads are actually really good. MazdaManiac 04-16-2010, 05:01 PM Either Hawk HP+ or EBC YellowStuff. TopGear8 04-16-2010, 08:10 PM I'm currently using Racing Brake ET800's with my BBK. Last year I ran the HP+ and I like the ET800's much better, they don't need as much heat has the HP+ to really bite well. TheWulf 04-16-2010, 10:29 PM I'm running Hawk HPS right now. They warm up faster than the HP+ and bite a tad better than the OEM pads. Plus they don't squeal on the street. Overall a decent pad but nothing extraordinary. kjchristopher 04-16-2010, 11:07 PM Stock worked best for me tmak26b 04-17-2010, 12:23 AM Carbotech swoope 04-17-2010, 02:31 AM I'm currently using Racing Brake ET800's with my BBK. Race Roots 04-17-2010, 11:09 AM track those yet? not autox. beers  I dont think he has yet, but I ran the ET900's and they were amazing when I was at Roebling. altiain 04-17-2010, 12:53 PM I hated giving up the first corner on HP+ unless you can drag the brakes all the way to the start line. They require some heat to work well. OEM pads are fine for most people. I use Carbotechs on my STX car. Even the XP10s I run up front bite very well when cold, and they're great track pads as well. One caveat - I wouldn't use them on the street. Way too abrasive on the rotors for street use, noisy, etc. I swap pads when I change wheels at events. |
