In the January 04 issue of the magazine mentioned in the thread's title, page 68-70, is an article titled "Mazda overhauls rotary engine plant in Japan". It explains some of the changes in manufacturing to improve the rotary engine like the way they cast the rotors and housings, the assembly and testing @4500 rpm. I'll scan it and post it when I get home later today. Very interesting read! :D

It took a while and it's not of the best quality but there you have it! :D
Notice the author of the article ;)
And one bit of info that surprised me is that stock Mazda apex and corner seals aren't even Mazda! The have an external supplier for them!

My college gets that mag each month for the library. I have seen several articles related to the RX-8 in it. One that I can remember was about the forming of the hood. Alll the articles are really good.

Cool, thanx. I especially like the glass of wine technique. Shows how smooth this engine really is!

Good info. Shows that a good car must have a good engine, and they succed to do that. Now lets eliminate some small issues like flooding and we are zooming...
