At 46 years old and a woman, I found myself falling head over heels for the RX8. So...I did what any sensible woman would do and bought it. I worked at a Mazda dealer for many years, so I am familiar with the Wenkel. I just LOVE this car. It couldn't be any more fun to drive and it looks like a rocket and turns many heads!

It is a 2009 Velocity Red GT with all the factory toys. I have people ask me what kind of car it is. How cool is that?

Glad that I found a forum to get some answers from real people. I do wish that the gas mileage was a bit better and also the oil mileage! I can't wait to read through many of the posts to see all of the enthusiasm.

The gas mileage gets a little better and the oil a ton better after the car breaks in good. At least thats what I saw, we also have fun a local meets so don't be a prune and come out when we have them! Good pick on the 6 speed to!

I'm from South Central PA. I'll certainly be looking for some meets. This sounds like a fun group! Thanks for the warm welcome.

After 5 years, I still smile when I get comments and those looks of admiration.

Cool, a "hometown" gal in an -8!

Left York County 35 years ago (ye gods, THAT long now?), ended up down here on the 'Shore after my service tours, and this caught my eye because my sister Cindy works in York. ;)

Welcome to the madness!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. It's funny that I never noticed the RX-8's on the road before my purchase, but now I am starting to see them everywhere. I guess more people are understanding how much fun a car can really be!!
