hey guys....i just put on an exhaust. i never really paid real close attention(to actually how hot it got) but i noticed that it got really hot.....i know these cars run really hot....im just making sure for peace of mind........one more thing.....is there supposed to be a gasket between the cat and the pipe it connects to?

yes im serious.....i wouldnt be asking if i wasnt......i know the rotary gets real hot(obvious) im just checking about the exhaust,,,,and about the gasket YES im serious or i wouldnt be asking......isnt that what this site is for......im asking cuz i i dont know....if u think im stupid then dont answer me...thats fine.....im sure someone patient and nice will......im not trying to be a jerk but your reply was real assertive to a question man.....im not mad though.....i was just asking

 

Yes... there is a gasket on both sides of the midpipe/cat.

If you watch our car from behind you can see the manifold glowing orange past 9krpm+
