900cc injectors ? um what ?

Am I reading this wrong or is there some conversion I need to do ? I purchased these injectors from ChrisRX8PR. There were supposedly just P2 yellows. I sent them off to KGparts to be uncapped and flowed. Here is the sheet for them. Please tell me I'm just reading this wrong somehow ? 0.o

Yea, but it shows they were already 850+ before they touched them? o.0

I have an odd question for those of you that have used KG. Anyone else notice the package smelling VERY strongly of pot?

^I know there are big injectors out there. The part that boggled me was that these were STOCK injectors made to flow that much. I was expecting 650cc..maybe 700cc

Got some pics. Held up a magnifying glass infront of my phone. i r teh clevR!

HA! That is the smell of Patchouli. Many people mistake it as the smell of "pot" if you do not know what Patchouli is.

Nope. sorry they were flowed with N-Heptane

Spray pattern is good. It is the same method injectordynamics uses to get their 1000cc injectors. They just use another Bosch injector and perform the same modification.

Correct! The Before modification number is not used on the report. You are also not always going to get back the same injectors you send in because after being uncapped, you never know what they are going to flow. The range is quite broad which is why we state on the site that they may not be the exact same injectors. We use in stock injectors to make the best matched set as once the modification is done, there is no altering it. If you were to just randomly take 2 and uncap them.. you could get a 740cc, an 800cc an 810cc and a 900cc... there is no way to tell without putting them on the flow bench and testing them. You can know what "range" they are going to be in, but as far as using them without testing the flow volume... big no no if you want the motor in one piece.

Just did this mod myself to a yellow and then had it flow tested .They say it flows 950cc (stock was 450cc according to them) .

I think all of our different colour injectors will flow the same with the caps taken off .

Just curious Mawnee . I see they retuned it without the green plastic cap on . Is that how you installed it ? If so , any issues ?

Yep installed without them. Thats what they remove to allow them to flow more freely. Only issues I've had is that the flow sheet didnt give me a good number to tune with. I had to scale them more like 700-750cc to get my tune close.

Not the steel caps . I was meaning the green plastic caps ......

Good to know about the tuning descrepancy .
They did a before and after for me so I will just scale by the same %.

The plastic cap looks like it may interfere with the spray pattern (with the steel cap removed) if left on .But makes the sealing rubber a loose fit and a possible leakage point .
anyone ?

I thought the same thing about the leakage, but I've had no issues from it. The bottom isnt under the pressure the top is so I suspect its not as crucial.
