Putting a Turbo on my Rx8

Hey i was thinking about putting a turbo on my RX8 but... i dont really know much about them i've read threads till my eyes hurt but either i dont really understand the turbo lingo or even know whats going on. The obvious response is "Then dont turbo your RX 8", but i dont really want to settle for that one. So what im hoping for is a little help from what i would call you experts out there...
What im trying to do if possible is get around 300 rwhp spending as close to 5,000 as possible, from a completely stock RX8. If possible. Any suggestions are appreciated thx.

i would budget A LOT more than $5k
example:
greddy kit = $3400
upgrade (which you'll need)= $1200 - $1400
AccessPort = $680
Ignition $500
Install = $800+ labor
and that doesn't include a BOV, gauges, etc everything else you'll NEED to turbo

add in 4-5k if you blow your engine and want to stay turbo. otherwise you can do what everyone else does when they blow their engine - sell off the FI kit to pay for the rebuild and go NA before selling the car.

thanks all of this helps, but what are the major things i should look at getting first, and upgrading later. Would it be better to buy a bolt on kit or piece it together myself?

since renesis isnt here ill help him out,

the twin turbos from the rx7 are a direct swap and they are only 400 dollar, but you will need exhaust berrings from a crosfire they are also a direct swap

hope this helps

With the rx7 twin turbos you dont even need to tune because the pcm's are the same. Just buy some universal piping on ebay, and like others have said, its a direct swap

hope this helps
