What are your opnions on debadging the rear of the car?
and are the badges just glued on there? or will there be holes I have to patch when I'm done?

The Symbol and the word Mazda will leave holes to be plugged. Welding is the preferrable way. Your best bet is to ask a body shop how much they would charge.

There are 3 holes for the Mazda word and 2 for the symbol on the trunk. 3 holes on the front bumper.
