okay so here we go, Got my new engine installed today!! yay!! it started up great!!! yay!!!! let it run for a little while, got in it, it was on a drive on wheel ramp lift, don't know what it is called, I noticed when I started it that the clutch was very very firm...
so put it in reverse, let out of the clutch and it never moved... took the tranny down and took the clutch off and aligned it and torqued the bolts to 16ft/lbs..put tranny back up and bolted down... got done, started car with a firm clutch again, went to move car and nothing..
looked under car to see if the fork was moving inside the tranny and it was.. it acted as if the pedal is stuck to the floor... so I started bleeding the system and then blew the master clutch cylinder...

So my question is, did the clutch cylider cause the problem?

if the flywheel wasn't tightened down all the way would it cause this problem?

okay i rebuilt the clutch master cylinder, and will be putting it back in tomorrow. It wasn't difficult rebuilding... I would recommend this to even the least experienced of us, this was my first time and it was a breeze.

Maybe they adjusted the clutch pedal incorrectly. That can cause the firm feeling and the lack of disengagement

Untighten the locking screw at the top of the clutch pedal and loosen the piston screw until there is only a very slight amount of loose play in the pedal.

Probably because nobody had a clue as to what was wrong. Better to get no reply than a bunch of "Aw, man that sucks. Are you premixing?" replies.
