This was done on a completely bone stock Mazdaspeed 3, thought I would share with the RX-8 community.

Those that are interested we can produce the same impressive results on an RX-8 as well. :)

Car: 2009 Mazdaspeed 3
Modifications- Cobb ATR professionally tuned by Fluid Motorsports
Gas: 93 octane

Ambient Temp measured by Dynojet
Run# 1- 100.52
Run# 3- 102.02

Humidity measured by Dynojet
22% both runs

Intake air temps:
Run 1 - 102.2f
Run 3 - 105.8f

Boost:
Run 1 ~13psi
Run 3 ~17psi tapering off to 14 psi @ 5600rpm and 10.5 @ 6756rpm

And Now the Stock Dyno!!

Very nice. It's good to see you got rid of that silly drop of power @4500 rpm.

ya know, you guys did about as well as they did in modified mag using only hardware (exhaust, header, intake). so, very nice result.

Indeed we turned some heads over at Cobb and MS3 Community.

We should be strapping down a Greddy Turbo RX-8 in the next week or so with our upgrade so we will see how she goes.

But then again the customer only wants 270whp...so that would be a walk in the park for us, especially with the supporting mod list he has.

The car could easily do 300+ we will see what the customer wants when the dyno day officially comes.

*Disclaimer so there is no confusion the MS3 gains would not be a realistic gain on an NA RX-8. The engine just does not have that kind of torque.

:whipping: Less gloating more tunning. We demand better, more options.:worship:

It's Mazda's return of sorts to the "hot hatches" of the 80's started by the VW Golf GTI, much in the way their Miata resurrected the Lotus Elan look. All that's old is new again. ;)

Nice augmentation of capabilities Fluid MS!
