As I said in an earlier thread, my nav system occaisionally gets lost and shows my position incorrectly. I have concluded this is due the systems inability lock onto the requesite number of satellites in order to triangulate my position (I live near mountains). If I get out on the open road it does correct itself within the amount of time specified in the manual (approximately 20 miles) However, there are times that is not convienient. I recently found that you can go to set up menu - vehicle position and place the cursor in the proper map location (enter) and specify the vehicle direction (enter) . This places the car back on track even when a GPS lock is not possible. It's amazing how well the Nav system functions without a GPS positon. Hope this helps those of you that have encountered this same scenario.
