This is really important! Long story short, I'm going to Iraq soon, but I'm stationed in Georgia, and I've got nobody here to watch my RX-8. So, I'm taking it back to Texas for my family to watch it. Only problem is, I need a new clutch. I really want to get this done before i go to iraq.

A shop here outside of ft stewart tried quoting me like $800 for the stock clutch kit. and like $300 for the stock one piece flywheel. Tell me what you've got, and tell you yes or no. I'll be buying next week.

I found an exedy stage 2 kit for $250...but....

I'll take stock as well, so let me know what you've got!

DO NOT EVER LET THE ARMY STORE YOUR ITEMS FOR YOU WHILE YOU ARE IN IRAQ OR AFGHANISTAN!!!! I have heard MANY horror stories from people who let the army "Hold" their things while deployed!!!!! You'll just come back from a combat zone, "act" excited to see your family, but really be excited to feel and smell that rx-8! then when you get it back like two or three weeks later (depending on how many people are picking up their cars as well, and how fast this place pumps out these cars) You find your car beat to hell! people have made claims against many things from scratched bumpers, to smashed windshields. Then...IF they honor your claim against them, you will have to wait forever to get your money. then you have to go through finding your own shop, and paying them to do it. It doesn't matter what estimate you bring them. They "hire" their own "inspectors" to judge how much money you are entitled to. Then, if you're not happy, you have to hire your own attorneys, because the army attorneys only handle military cases. not civilian. It's MUCH better to just leave your vehicle with family, or friends back home. PLUS, any member on this forum will tell you. Rotaries do not like to sit. Then, when you come back, if it DOES start, your rx-8 will make sure it lets you know what it thought of you leaving it sit for so long. Its also better to leave it with a friend in case, GOD FORBID, while you're over their serving your country, something should happen to you.

i have a new flywheel, a stock clutch with ~6k miles on it.. not sure about a throw out bearing.

I have an ACT Pro-lite Flywheel with less than 5k miles and a Stock pressure plate and disc that is basically new(only used for a little bit). I also have a 6 puck sprung hub ACT disc also with less than 5k miles. If you combine the 6 puck disc with the stock pressure plate and the flywheel, you will be able to hold up to 400whp short of beating it on the track (I know because I used this combination and it held fine)

Let me know what you want. I could send you the flywheel, pressure plate and your choice of disk for 225.00. You will not be disappointed...they are in great shape, everything looks brand new.

I don't know about 225.00 shipped.....I would rather give it to you for 200.00 and you cover shipping. I don't know how much it weights and how much shipping will be and I don't want to get screwed. If it is less then you got a better deal than you asked for.

I can't include the counterweight because I used it with my OS Giken Twin Clutch. The throwout bearing is just the stock bearing, that is what I was using and that is what I kept when I changed to the OS Giken.

I don't have pics right now, I will get them tonight and post them here.
