I just got my Megan racing springs. followed a good DIY butmy question is this. I only installed 1 rear spring so far and when I put the wheel back on and lowered it back down it did not look any lower. Do I need to pre-load the rears? if so, how? (I only put 1 on tonite cause wife is going out of town tommorrow and I will have time to do the rest then but I wanted to make sure I was doing it right first) Thanks in advance for everyones help!!!:banghead:

I've never done anything special when I modified my rear suspension. I just lower it, then move the car a bit and it goes right down. Have you moved the car at all since you installed?

Only thing I load when doing the suspensions are the upper a-arm bolts (2 17mm each side) on the front.

yeah put them all on then move the car a bit and the pressure from the weight of the car will settle the springs and it will drop.

so if I want to keep stock height, I dont have to pre-load or anything right ?

NYC roads are killing me. Bloomberg is a motherfuxker, he hates roads for some reasons. Ever since he is in the office, the roads are getting crappier every freaking day.

You aren"t really trying to "preload" anything. You just want to tighten the bushings at the proper position so that they aren't under stress when the car is in the new position

You can either jack the corner to the correct height and then tighten up the bushings...or you can let the car down and tighten them on the ground....does the same thing

springs will also settle after a bit

for the fronts. Do I need to remove the bushings and ball joints? I have heard both
