View Full Version : RX-8 Tuner Shops
ZoominRex 08-28-2003, 10:37 PM I've been looking for reputable tuners in my area but have had no luck. I was wondering if you guys knew any tuners that work especially on Rotarys or Mazdas in general. I need a place to install shocks/springs and exhausts. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
rotordude 09-03-2003, 08:45 PM Try Rotorsport on El Camino in Santa Clara. 408-241-7125.
Paul (the owner) has been building/tuning rotaries for something like 20 years.
And you can see a bunch of RX-3s if you haven't seen one in a while!

ZoominRex 09-04-2003, 10:08 PM Thanks!! I'll check them out!
Omicron 11-06-2003, 07:01 PM I posted this a while back in the "Mountain" forum, but got no replies. So I'll post it here, where I know everyone goes. :)
Is anyone aware of a good, reputable, high performance tuner shop for rotary engines in the Denver, Colorado area? If not Denver, how about something within a couple of hundred miles?
Thanks...
Digisan 11-06-2003, 10:59 PM Not that I know of, but I live in the Springs. I am my own tuner, LOL. Tomorrow the Borla becomes one with the 8, ECU will be next, then down the pike, SC...etc etc.
Omicron 11-07-2003, 08:44 AM Yep, me too... but I'd love to find a tuner shop in the area too, as they make short work of FI installs, etc. Ah well, hopefully someone will speak up. There's got to be one here somewhere!
Thanks...
dplore 11-08-2003, 07:32 PM In south Denver, there's The Mazda Honda Shop. Luis and Tony Rivera have been tuning and racing rotaries for many years and are very experienced.

They agreed to install a Turbo Kit for me. They aren't rotary specialists but I think they know what's up.
I'm also going to try and convince Rob over at Z car Garage to work on my car... Never in my life have I seen such a nice facility.
