Clicking noise from Exhaust after shut off

The title more or less says it all... I turn off my car and there is a loud click sound, at somewhat regular intervals (1-2seconds) apart from what seems the passenger side muffler. I just installed, about a week ago, an exoticspeed catback, and is this clicking sound just a byproduct of the exhaust system cooling down or some welds cracking? I just noticed it tonight and it is suppose to be cool and rainy the next couple days, so I will look at it when I can, but any ideas?

The exhaust is hot. The metal it's made of expands. Turn the car off and it begins to cool down and contract. That's the sound your hearing.

Yep, even mine does it, usually the rear muffler first..a crack or bang of the heat shield.

All rotary exhaust are hotter than banger set ups, you have many heat shields that cool down and make noises..it is normal.
