I have a 2005 RX8 MT with about 45,000 kms on it. I recently had the ignition wires and ignition coils changed and am pretty vigilant about topping off with oil etc.

Yesterday I started experiencing a weird problem in that once the car is warmed up, the shifts are very harsh (ie the clutch is not shifting smoothly) and the engine is rattling/shaking a little bit when you rev it (ie it doesnt sound like it supposed to). The rattling is even more noticeable when driving at the lower end of a gear.

Has anyone experienced a problem like this and if so what was it and the solution?

Any insight I could get would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Eric

No CEL.

If its my engine mount, is it covered under the extended powertain warranty from Mazda? My car is otherwise out of warranty.
