Well after going a month without seeing the TPMS warning light, I was sort of perturbed that the light came on right after I finished washing the car yesterday. I checked all the tires and low and behold they were all at different pressures. Well I toppped them off and BAM the light shows back up again this morning. I thought my washing the car or the rain (read that water) had something to do with it. Well after driving to work I decided to do a walk around and heard an ominous hissing sound coming from the right/rear tire. I picked up something in the tread.
Well The dealer I bought the car from gives me free tires for life and I got the road hazzard warranty. But they are closed untill Fri. So I have to wait to see how they handle this!
Merry freakin' Christmas!

Where the heck can I get some free tires for life? I'm dreading the day when I have to dish out $1K to buy new tires :) Anyone know what the expected life of the tires on the MT 8 is? 20K mi?

Free tires for life? Did you pay extra for this? Or is it simply road hazard warranty? What a deal.

No there is no extra charge for this!
The deal is that since I bought the car from Hampton Chevy-Mazda I get free tires for as long as I own the car, providing I bring the car in to their service dept. to have the services done. I did pay an extra $148 for the lifetime road hazzard warranty rider.
:D
I am hoping they don't give me a rash of shit over this like most dealers would. I picked up a drywall screw in the tire but it seems to be holding air so far. Since I will be changing over to the M&S tires soon I was also wondering how they would handle that also. Would they replace those if needed or again would they give me a rash of shit about that too!

I doubt you'll get a new tire if it can be patched. If you're too close to the sidewall, then they'll replace it. I had my tire patched, and it's just fine - no reason to toss a perfectly good tire.

This is true. The screw is about 2 inches for the shoulder in the second row of tread blocks! If they give me a load of crap I will just plug it myself and be done with it. Done it before and put two years on the tire with zero problems.
