Thanks for reminding me stoli :D

Thanks for reminding me the other day L&L.

Wildcard (aka D.G.W.) is in town as some of you might know. We are going to go for a short cruise down to the Gold Coast to meet up with L&L. Wildcard is a modest sort of guy, but he is keen to show off his new 'zaust.

We are thinking one day after Christmas, before New Year.

Perhaps meet on BNE northside, meet any south-siders on the way if any, then head to gold coast meet L&L and crew for lunch somewhere, then go for a drive thought the hinterland.

Any preferences for a day? I am off work until the 5th, so any day suits me.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I'm in if the time is right. I prefer weekends or public holidays as I'm working through the Christmas period.

OK - Sunday the 28th it is. This should suit all respondands, as sco said the weekend would be OK.

Since me and Wildcard are near ech other, we might meet up first, then drive to Harries Diner to meet with Sco, and anyone else who is interested.

Target meeting time will be 9:15am at Harries Diner, Newmarket Road, Windsor. We will leave no later than 9:30am

Then we will drive to the Gold Coast to meet L&L somewhere.

L&L - Can you post a suitable meeting place somewhere on the coast, and a time?

We can play it by ear after that. A cruise and then lunch, perhaps?

Cheers,
Hymee.

Don't forget UHF radios are great for cruises. Handhelds are a good, cheap option. Better see if y'all can get one now in the post Christmas sales if you don't have one already. Well worth it!

I have not heard from Sco. I will be travelling sans family.

Will still turn up at Harries to see if there are any anonymous takers.

L&L the quote above your avatar says it all!

Some great roads out there behind the Gold Coast! I'm amazed how well this car handles around the curves, even on some pretty rough sections of road. Never doubted it for a second, even if the DSC was working its arse off a couple of times! :D :D

I will let you know how my test drive to spring brook goes i will post relevant results soon i hope .

I had a great time ON OUR RELATIVELY SHORT BUT EXCITING DRIVE.

Yes - it was a great drive. True to the meaning of "Spirited Driving".

I will have to put that route down as one to revisit.

There was one sharp crest where I was following Wildcard and he just dropped away in front of me. Cool.

Cheers,
Hymee.

PS - Thanks to L&L for suggesting the intermediate segment of the trip!

Hymee, I did the Nerang - Beechmont road twice yesterday while visiting a friend. A great little section of road made even better when on two seperate occasions I had people pull over and let me past straight away when I suddenly appeared in their rear-vision mirror from out of nowhere.
