Had about half a tank left and did a road trip up to see family. Got back into town with the yellow fuel light on and thought I drop her until she was on fumes. Filled up and it only took 14.024 gallons yet a quick look at the web indicates the rx8 holds 15.9 gallons :uhh:

So what is the story on our rx8 and fuel display? Is Empty really not empty on this model? Mine is a 2007 model. Had 264 miles on the trip meter so divided by 14.024 is about 18.8 mpg....for a moment there I thought I was doing better then that since the trip was about 75 miles each way. Seems city driving really sucks (...the gas). Yes I knew that....
