View Full Version : Hesitation at WOT

I have just noticed my 8 hesitates during WOT at exactly 7500 rpm. I repeated test runs about a dozen times. Each time, I started with a rolling start at 1st gear, then into 2nd with WOT. As soon as it reached 7500 rpm, I felt a definitely "tug". I know the intake port opens at 7250 rpm, but this "tug" feels wrong.

I recalled there's a thread with similar topic. But if I recall correctly, the discussion was concerning loading condition other than WOT. What do you guys think? Any opinion would be greatly appreciated.

BTW. I have 1500 miles on the 8.

If it's consistent, have the dealership check it out.

I took mine in for a couple of big bucks or tugs whatever you call it......said my engine was fine and mentioned it can happen when it is damp out or the engine is cold. I haven't had the major bucking since but it does run rough if it is not fully warmed up.

Thanks for the input cruzdreamer. When I discover the "tug", I had already traveled 50 miles on the freeway just prior. Although, humidity was high. It was on the verge of rainning.
