khoney 01-04-2004, 05:17 PM Once again, political correctness wins out over reason :(
RodsterinFL 01-05-2004, 09:49 PM Well, considering that the Mazda has recently won about 5 awards and came in 2nd place isn't too bad. One thing I noticed though is that the article said that for the cars to be eligible, they had to be a new model or substantially change from the previous model year. Has the Prius changed that much from 2003 to 2004?
SA22C 01-06-2004, 05:22 PM The Pruis sports an all new drivetrain that is both more efficient and more powerful, not to mention that the car is more spacious now as well. As much as I like rotaries, the Prius is an engineering marvel and definately deserves to win.
Outlaws eXtreme 01-06-2004, 05:38 PM Rotary, 1.3 liters, ... efficiency at its best. Try 1.3 liters in the prius and see how well that performs.

Haha! You're being facetious, right? Because this 1.3 is running up a gas tab 4x larger than my wife's SUV (and does about 2/3 of the miles I do).

You are right. The Prius was changed considerably - I checked. Like I said though the RX8 was second and that is good too.
