The transmission saga continues!

Well, the new fluid didn't fix the problem. It made it shift easier for about the first week, but not anymore. It's still sticking and not shifting, especially when cold. Then, this morning on my way home from Robbie's I could not get it out of first gear into second, or even into neutral! I had to come to a complete stop (fortunately a residential street with no traffic at the time) and then move it through all the gears several times and then try driving again. I shifts perfectly when the car is not moving. LOL! Anyways, I was able to get out of first into neutral (the usual cold routine since the transmission started acting up 30K miles ago), but then it refused to go into second at all. After driving about 15 miles of all freeway and the car getting all nice and warm I had to deal with traffic lights again and had a similar issue with second gear being next to impossible to get into from first again, resulting in a large clunky/crunchy sound like it was resisting/stuck against something, but not an actual grinding of gears. So, as soon as I got home I called Ron Tonkin to report the problem continues. I have an appointment to drop it off Tuesday morning for a transmission teardown as they now believe that I have likely at least two bent and/or broken shift forks and said I may require a new transmission. I'm hoping it is covered under warranty if that is the case, especially considering how long I've been bitching about the problem (since I had about 8K to 9Kmiles on the car). Meanwhile, if shift forks are actually broken, wouldn't the car not go into gear at all?

Yeah, bent shift fork is probably the most likely scenario. I am sorry for you, but at least the dealer is ripping it down for you under warranty. I hope that you get back a fabulous running 8 in no time flat.
