I finally got around to doing my first mini-mod on my 8!
I got a pair of Hella fog lamps and some oil cooler protectors /screens for X-Mas. It was pretty basic but fun to get my first project done.
I didnt start taking pics until after I was underway pretty far.... oops I'll remember for next time. Not gonna bother going into taking bumper off as it was extremely easy and has been covered many times.
Pic 1 I installed one of the screens and set bumper back in place to see difference between with and without.
Pic 2 Since I was not using the OEM foglamps I chose to mount them between the bumper and the front lip. I removed the lip and placed the lamp bracket in place to mark my hole for drilling. Pretty straight forward.
Pic 3 I installed both foglamps and then mocked he wiring in place. I only wanted to check how I was going to run the wires now. I stil lplanned to solder all connections and make the wiring length to fit. I dont like all kinds of extr awiring just bundled up and hanging.
Pic 4 Close up of one of the lamps mounted and wiring mocked up only.
Pic 5 I noticed after installing the screens that the included zip tie method of securing the screen was not going to hold as the included anchor was tearing already.
CONT.
