Is this emblem just attached with some sort of adhesive or is does it have prongs that go into the bumper?

A search would've turned this up.
Do an advanced search on "de-badging"

bummer.

Because some moron hit my car and ruined my bumper (2nd time in 2 months!!!) and i asked the dealership to not put the emblem on. He said it may cost more without because if it has holes then they would have to fill them in....

yup an dknowing how a dealership would do it, you wouldnt watn it anyway...
they would just use body filler and not plastic weld it shut, and over time the filler would sag and you would have three dimples in your front bumper...

well, actually I said dealer, but it is a body shop. The guy told me they would use plastic or whatever. He said it would cost somewhere around $60 (vs 25 for just putting the new one on). This seems ridiculously high. But whatever.

gotta pay to play... I left double digit cost of mods a long time ago....
I would say if its a look your goin for then do it $60 is anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half of labor so thats a good price...

Ya I think I will. Besides, I might just put it on the jackass's bill who hit me. Normally I am not a jerk, but god this guy might as well have done it on purpose. Plus, there is no way in hell I would do this job myself, ha, not on a $500 bumper. But thanks for the clarification guys!
