Okay, so I get out of work today and go to turn on my car and to my amazement, it just makes a cluck sound. So okay i thought i might have flooded it. Tried DE-flooding, nothing same cluck sound. So i rallied up 6 of the best technicians in my company and tried push starting the car. Guess what it worked! Now my question is this; I am almost 100% sure that its my starter that went out, I have been noticing the same cluck sound when i turn off the engine and was just wondering if anyone's 8 makes the same cluck sound when you turn off the engine. Has anyone had the same problems? If so was it the starter that was bad or something else? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Either the starter the battery or a chicken is wedged in beside your motor .

sounds like you have an ignition switch circuit problem.

or a loose battery terminal

or a bad battery

or a bad starter

or a bad alternator

or a bad ground

p.s.- couldnt you have used the 6 worst technicians to push the car? actually couldnt just 2 of them have done it? i mean i pushed my car out of a parking space and down a hill by myself to push start it. im confused as to why it took 6 of the BEST technicians?

I don't think the ground would be the problem BC/if that was the case the car would not start even on a push start. The battery is fine i had it replaced about a month ago and the connection to them as well, I don't think the alternator b/c then the battery would not have enough charge to start all the electronics, i really think and pray its just the starter motor, im going to be working on it tomorrow with my uncle at his shop.

Yes, you right i should check and make sure that the battery is fine, before spending 100-200 buks on a starter. I take a look at it tomorrow. Just curious have you ever any problems with your battery/starter?

a ramp leads up to my garage, and I can use my left leg to push the car backwards so theres no way you needed 6 people if I can be lazy and push it down the ramp instead of putting it in reverse with just my leg.

okay were i park, its on grass, so there's like a small ledge that the car has to get over and if you don't get enuff speed the car obviously wont go over it. Hence why i asked for 6 people, and your right not all 6 were pushing but i did take 4 of us 3 pushing and me inside trying to start it. But yea thanks for your input its real useful in solving my problem.

Okay problem solved, battery was hosed, we put a multimeter to it and it was reading real low, replaced battery 80buks, then the starter motor was bad as well so we replaced the starter 220buks. Now the car starts on the first crank. I even noticed a improvement in shifting and acceleration. Im guessing thats the computer readjusting its self? Anyways all in all i blew about 350buks including taking my uncle to lunch lol. But I have to say it was worth the money. And it is not as hard as people think to replace a starter. Thanks for the input guys
