The rx8 has won the sports class category from the queensland courier mail car of the year , outpacing monaro cv8 , 350z , and bmw z4 .

The rx8 finished with 45 votes , almost double that of its nearest competitor.

As i also own a honda jazz that won in the light car section my garage is the proud home of two 1st place cars .

Imagine if the rx8 had the right extra kw , heck noting could touch it .

Says it all. :)

For my money it's the most interesting, exciting and original car I've seen for many years. As one reviewer put it, when a manfucturer aims for so many different goals at once they usually end up just missing out on all of them, whereas the RX8 actually manages to succeed in every area. Great looks, performance, handling, comfort, practicality, and perhaps above all sheer fun - it has the lot.

(P.S. I like it.... )

Here-here. L&L, you are failing in your investigative skills. (Had to get you back somehow) :)

It won overall, and it won sports car as well.

And the team responsible was chosen from a cross section of the community. From what I here, their opinoin is fairly on par with a bunch of the other "car of the year" awards.

Cheers,
Hymee.

My wife owns the 1.5 VTI-S HONDA JAZZ (AUTO WITH 7 SPEED ELECTRONIC SHIFT ON THE WHEEL ) eats mazda 2 for breakfeast .

It has 81kw driven in a manual mode she flies , Took the whole family 5 of us back to melbourne inland through dubbo (hume hwy ) The fuel cost was a mere $ 120.00 YES its an innovative awesome little car i am afraid way above the mazda 2 in every respect.

SEATING HEAD ROOM IS AMAZING I SOMETIMES DRIVE IT INSTEAD OF THE RX8 DEPENDING WERE WE ARE GOING , ITS AN AWESOME LITTLE CAR , sorry about the caps hymee , i am loyal if the car is right , if you look at the statistics the HONDA JAZZ is outselling the little mazda 2 by a mile .ha ha ha

Honda supporter = 7 day ban. Hahahaha. (joking if you can't tell, L&L)

I still can't believe the guy at work bought a Honda Euro over a '6. "Looks like a Mazda 6, goes like Honda"

Cheers,
Hymee.

No problem hymee i just get very defensive about all my cars (cave man symdrone)

Having driven both MAZDA 6 and HONDA EURO , i would have to go with ----------- mazda for looks , they are both great cars if thats the type of car u need , the honda euro is an extremely well built car handles well , it would have to be a close call however if i had to own one of those types of cars i would buy the ----NEW SUBARU LIBERTY GT ? AWD GREAT CAR , The manual version will be hear next year and unless we get our rx8 moving faster it will give us a run for our money 195 real kws , by the way the auto puts out 180kw and 310nm , so dont go picking on one in a hurry.

LET THE WAR BEGIN , HA HA HA HE

HYMEE

Had mazda given the oz market the V6 mazda engine ,as they have in U.S. THE MAZDA 6 WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT CAR .

A 2.3 ltr 4 cylinder engine with 122kw and 207nm MAKES THE 6 A GOOD CAR BUT FAR FROM GREAT .

I just wonder if you will mellow in your older age, as of tomorrow :)

Did you see about the guy who flew his home made plane to Antartica, and they won't help him out?

Heck i have mellowed since my younger days , but i believe in speaking my mind .( hopefully not offending to many along the way) i tell it how i see it .

Yeah that guy was clever enough to fly to antartica with his own home made plane , but should have organised his fuel situation a bit better , it sucks that no one wants to help him .

The Mazda 6 MPS (206KW & AWD) HAS NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED FOR SALE ON THE AUSTRALIAN MARKET (source Motor magazine page 138 )

Was not aware the 6 cylinder was a ford engine yuk.

206kW makes 177kW look pretty sick. The Taurus engine is far from refined if my recent trip to the US is an indication - I had a V6 tear-arse as my rental.

Cheers,
Hymee.
