Obd 2 P0610

This is the code I am getting when my mechanic pulled the info. I have not noticed any powerloss, although I have noticed mpg loss. That it was a bad cat or 2nd o2 sensor, until we pulled this code. Any help would be appreciated. Could find anything in search.

seriously i just googled P0610 and the top result was a thread on here from 2005

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/dtc-p0610-62049/

something is wrong with your PCM. Have you recently installed anything that communicates with the PCM? Harrison Can Scan? Cobb? installed anything electronic into the the cars harness that might be shorting?

take it to a dealer and have them try to re-flash the PCM? itll either take OR you'll need a new one. more than likely you'll get anew one. i dont recall any of the handful ive seen being resolved with less

renesisjim,

Before you take it in, try the following two PCM erase procedures. This code could be spurious.

Well, I finally was able to get the car into the dealership. They replaced my pcm under the drivetrain warranty, no cost to me. Runs alot smoother now. I think I had one of the older flashes on the old pcm. Car seems to run and idle smoother with the new one.
