WTB: I will pay $500 for a Mazsport midpipe!

I am getting desperate.

I really need a good dual resonated midpipe and I can't wait for BHR to design one.

just buy a muffler and have it welded into whatever midpipe you have now.

it'll cost you a crapload less.

If I knew what resonators to buy that would make it as quiet as the Mazsport I would do it.

All other midpipes made by other companies have not come close to the Mazsport midpipe in quietness.

I currently have the stock midpipe with clogged cat. lol

I stay away from anything with packing in it. Nice muffled sound at first, slowly deteriorates over time.

I'm going to assume the muffler had fiberglass or steel wool in it. I used a CC Insert for mine. No packing.

Throw one of these or something similar on a regular, straight-through midpipe:

I could buy a catless midpipe and weld in two resonators but I have no clue what it will sound like. At least we know the Mazsport is as quiet as its going to get. The reviews on this forum have all been positive.

These look alot like the Mazsport resonators:

http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset....rtNumber=16435

These are more $$$ but have a stainless packing option:

http://www.coastfab.com/ultralights.html
http://www.burnsstainless.com/Ultral...temuffler.html

So a true resonator is tuned to silence certain frequencies to eliminate rasp, but not so much sound reduction? Wouldin't I be better off with a small mufflers?

how about $450 and you pay the shipping for it? I have one sitting in the trunk of my car and wasn't going to get it installed until LATE march/april of next year, and even then I'm not sure if I want to install it to cause the CEL light.

I never heard of megan racing midpipe. Can you post pics/specs and maybe explain how loud it is compared to stock?

They don't list an rx8 midpipe on their website. http://www.meganracing.com/products/....asp?catid=103

yeah i know they dont.

its a prototype.

its a 2" stainless pipe.
used it for about 2 weeks.

when i had it on my car i had it with a single N1 muffler. so it was loud.
but im not sure how loud it is with a diff exhaust.

It might not happen. The people who have them are holding damn tight!!

I am thinking about gutting the cat out of my oem midpipe.
