I just bought my RX-8 about 3 weeks ago, I was so excited i forgot to realize that the horn was not working till the other day. I put a new fuse in place of the old one and it blew it. I have a fair understanding of electrical systems and how these things work. I was wondering if anyone has encounter the same problem with their horn? I know if the fuse is going out its because of a faulty wire or wires, anything that i should look at before I take it to the Stealership?
Thank You

this HORN (http://www.thompson-automotive.com/catalog/item/2883780/2380250.htm) is made for the Miata but with minor modification can be made fit for the 8.

^ the horn in our car is already grossly underpowered and you suggest replacing it with something more feminine?

See if you can get a schematic.
Sounds like someone wired something into the Horn circuit. Like an alarm or stereo.

Hey guys, i fixed it, thanks for the input, it turns out there was water trapped inside the horn, one of the engineers at my job helped me. That explains why it was drwaing so much current and blowing the fuse. I must admit though it was a pain in the ass to reach it. I had to remove the bottom left fender and even then it was kind of hard to get to. I ended up replacing it so now it works fine. Though i must say the horn does sound kind of girly.
Thanks guys
