Al, the General Manager Scarborough Mazda is great. He's a total car enthusiast and really takes care of RX8 Club Members. Great service and pricing. Conversation is good too :)
Got my winter tires installed today as well as an electronic rust inhibitor device.
Kafka, I was expecting to see you there today. Al tells me you visit daily :)
Chris_Bangle 10-23-2008, 08:36 PM We Love U Al!!!
If he wasnt so far i'd take my car over there to get serviced. heck anyone can be better than Brampto Mazda.
phobi 10-23-2008, 08:59 PM ^ i'm with Kris....Brampton Mazda's service is just awful...I really do wish i was closer to Al's, great guy to talk to & a real class act all the way when it comes to helping out with any problems or questions.
rx8thunder 10-23-2008, 09:13 PM ^ I look at the trip as an excuse to drive my 8 :) I don't go for smaller things like oil changes tho...

Nick Bilimoria (service representative) is a pleasure to work with on scheduling appointments and getting your car serviced on time. He really takes care of you, and updates you if anything changes. He will get you in and out of there as soon as possible.
If you're heading to Scarboro Mazda to perform work, make sure to speak to Nick!

Did someone say test drives? :dragster:
New 8?
New 6?
Footman 10-29-2008, 02:20 PM New 6 tried.
New 8 haven't... we should try and see what this new 4.44 gear is all about, and this new miata gearbox. I heard the 1-2 shift awkwardness is gone now.
Berik316 10-30-2008, 01:55 AM Hi guys,
How much does a 48000 KM service usually cost?
Thief 10-30-2008, 06:39 AM New 6 tried.

The new car runs 4.77 gears. We have 4.44 gears in our cars right now.
01Racing 10-30-2008, 12:27 PM What time on Friday are you guys coming in?
Footman 10-30-2008, 12:45 PM I'm showing up after work around 5 with my rims. The service counter maybe closed, but I can leave them in the service garage right?
Rotary Mike 10-30-2008, 01:11 PM What time on Friday are you guys coming in?
I'm hoping to show up early afternoon. I need to get my leaky oil pan looked at as well if possible. I forgot to set up an appointment though :icon_no2:

Berik316 11-07-2008, 10:04 PM Went to Scarborough Mazda today and their service is AWESOME!
Excellent conversation! Al and Nick totally take care of my 8 today~This is my first time having the "home feeling" from a dealership ~
Big thanks to Al and Nick once again ! :worship:
phobi 11-08-2008, 11:06 PM Just wanted to share my experience going to scarbs mazda, i did a quick drop in this morning to get my starter replaced as i've been getting really weak startups for the last little bit even after replacing the coils, plug and wires (btw RB Ultra wires ftw) i got to the dealership a bit late due to traffic, but mark @service was quite nice, the only downside was it got pretty backed up in service and mark mentioned the tech that he wanted to have working on my 8 was behind due to a brake job on an earlier appointment so there was a slight delay of about an hour or so, no biggie! (i'll wait for great service!) Time was easy to kill with that cool little coffee machine & a iPhone...i also did a full scope/sitting of the R3 as well a proper drooling for the cosmo in the showroom (very nice!). Man...the R3 seats are sooo nice...great place and nice people to talk & deal with! Unfortunately, Al was away and Steve was busy so we couldn't meet face to face...hopefully next time!
oh just to add about the Now-installed updated "high-speed" starter as Steve called it...WOW...the car starts up with authority now lol...start up times go from 3-4 seconds before to about 0.5-1.0 seconds, geez i love it! :lol2:
01Racing 11-09-2008, 08:07 AM You were driving out just as I drove in! I saw a yellow 8 that wasnt Eddie, I was in my Speed 6. We were there until 5:30 working on the race cars!
phobi 11-09-2008, 10:36 PM gah! next time i guess Al, everything went great though!
