View Full Version : Turbo Install
Gauge 10-22-2008, 06:47 PM Anyone in Georgia or Florida know where I could get my turbo installed and tuned? Ive tried getting ahold of Mazsport and cant. I had a person who was going to do it from the getgo but he broke his leg a few weeks ago. And no one around here in SE georgia will touch my car because of the rx-8's engine problems theyve heard about. We've called everywhere almost. And another big tuner around here just joined the NAVY so screwed there too.
I live about an hour from Jacksonville in southern Ga but Ill go wherever I have to as long as its GA/FL .
Anyways thanks
alz0rz 10-22-2008, 07:11 PM In light of all the recent drama with Mazsport I'd stay away from them anyway.
05rex8 10-22-2008, 07:23 PM try pettit racing
olddragger 10-22-2008, 07:56 PM Yep Pettit is good.
OD
Gauge 10-24-2008, 03:23 AM Hmm I ordered a midpipe from mazsport over a month ago still aint got it. They said they take a couple weeks to make when I contacted them. But yeah..a month :\
Cattywampus 10-24-2008, 01:17 PM Try BHR. Charles R. Hill did mine. He comes to you.
Jedi54 10-24-2008, 01:19 PM +1 for BHR. Ray will travel to you and his rates are very competitive
mysql 10-24-2008, 01:38 PM BHR can do it.
I also know a local Master Mazda tech that has about 16 years in rotaries and he can also do the work. He's in the Spring Hill area (Just north of Tampa). PM me if you want his ph#

I order the midpipe about 3 months ago, sent a few emails and heard back that they're waiting for the silencers to come in stock. So expect a month or so more.
Easy_E1 10-24-2008, 01:42 PM Ray needs the excercise.
Gauge 10-28-2008, 10:56 AM Thanks guys, I wont be ready to put it on untill early December. I'll look further into it then. Dont you need the support tool to tune the EMU to the greddy?
Thanks
DJ_Skyhawk 10-31-2008, 08:39 AM where exactly in Georgia do you live? If you live in the Savannah area I know of a place that you can go. :eyetwitch
Gauge 11-04-2008, 08:22 PM Dj Skyhawk, I believe we've talked a few times on cardomain! lol
Anyways I live around Waycross, but Savannah isnt too far to travel. A couple hours.
x-attack 11-04-2008, 08:34 PM Yeah man I actually did the install myself at a local shop that I rented out for 2 days. If not we could do it in my garage (there is where I did the uninstall). Also I have an Interceptor-X that is tuned for the Greddy Kit by Scott at Mazsport. My int-x is tuned perfectly for your kit if you are using it in GA!!
9krpmrx8 11-04-2008, 09:05 PM I would say go to Pettit and get the SC. What Drama at Mazsport?
Gauge 11-04-2008, 09:41 PM Where are you located x-attack ? also are you up for selling that int-x ? Would way rather have that than the emanage ultimate that I have.
9krpmrx8, I already have a turbo and everything for it, too late to be buying a sc, plus I like turbos better.
mysql 11-04-2008, 09:43 PM Accessport is bar none the best choice for the RX-8. I've owned every fuel management available for the RX-8 too, so I'm not talking out my ass.
Since you didn't PM me for the master tech's ph#, I assume you're also not interest. Makes me wonder about this thread.
x-attack 11-05-2008, 10:32 AM I'm located in Hiram, Ga! I still do have the int-x with it I made almost 280hp and 230 ft.lbs. Of torque at the wheels. Check ur pm.
Gauge 11-05-2008, 12:23 PM mysql, theres interest, just been busy and taking my time because it wont be ready for a install untill next month or maybe early Jan. Im going to get his # off you no worries lol. Just a little busy.
mysql 11-05-2008, 12:35 PM OK, you better. I get a 50% commission!
just kidding
