View Full Version : 2010 MS3 Hatch @ 'Ring -Woot!
Spin9k 10-22-2008, 02:31 PM I could use one of these, esp. if it has the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo slated to crank out 300 hp as used in the new Euro-only Ford Focus RS!
Digging that scoop, rear spoiler and RX-8 like wheels & front end hidden in there. Very nice! All wheel drive perhaps?

chinx 10-22-2008, 02:37 PM that looks pretty sweet
alz0rz 10-22-2008, 02:39 PM 2.5t.. oh dear if we had one of those in our 8s.
8 Maniac 10-22-2008, 02:45 PM looks pretty bad ass... someone run up and start taking off the tape!
kersh4w 10-22-2008, 02:49 PM it has 40th aniv year rims.
Phoenix7 10-22-2008, 02:52 PM Looks beefy
2.5t.. oh dear if we had one of those in our 8s.^^^did he really just say that??????
moRotorMotor 10-22-2008, 03:06 PM Oh snap, repost.
SayNoToPistons 10-22-2008, 04:12 PM Good game, WRX, Civic Si and Lancer GTS... Good Game..
Crazy Boost 10-22-2008, 06:12 PM Please let it have AWD. That's the only thing that kept me from buying the last one. It should have come with the same drivetrain as the MS6.
CaptMatt15 10-22-2008, 08:20 PM it has 40th aniv year rims.
look more curvy like the R3 wheels, but lighter in color- the 40th wheels have more edges (i've spent a long time staring at mine :-P)
chancejat 10-22-2008, 08:25 PM meh.....
dshiznit1489 10-22-2008, 08:28 PM Looks like it has a pretty aggressive front bumper.
ILoveFI 10-23-2008, 05:47 PM If it turned out to be AWD I'd buy one immediately.
boanjangnararmine 10-23-2008, 05:49 PM looks awesome. i'd love to get one of these.
biggin55 10-23-2008, 05:50 PM I highly doubt it will have RWD, look at the Focus RS, they dumped a ton of money into developing the "Revo Knuckle" in order to make an increasingly faster FWD car market. Plus, look at the new Cobalt SS while its still a crappy baseline model Chevy, its beating cars that are more expensive and AWD. AWD is just going to make the car heavier.
All that aside, I'd love to see this beast as an AWD machine!
blackenedwings 10-23-2008, 06:11 PM Meh looks like the new WRX STi to me and I can't stand that hatch look. It could have 800 whp for the same price and I still don't think I would buy one.
Mikeluvs8 10-23-2008, 10:04 PM sweet!!!!
Ever Hernandez 10-23-2008, 10:35 PM Someone with good photoshop skills needs to put the sedan's face on the hatch body, pronto! :rollingla:
kersh4w 10-23-2008, 10:40 PM its the mazdaspeed3 so it'll look different.
Ever Hernandez 10-23-2008, 10:44 PM I don't think it'll be that far off since since the intake ducts have been replaced with the hood scoop. I'd say the only major difference on the front end is the bulging hood.

77mjd 10-24-2008, 09:07 AM 2.5t.. oh dear if we had one of those in our 8s.
I hate to say it but...+1
alienRX8 10-24-2008, 10:09 AM it looks awesome, id maybe trade my 8 for one haha
nycgps 10-24-2008, 01:05 PM if its AWD, Im all for it.
Or else. no deal.
Cattywampus 10-24-2008, 01:14 PM It looks FWD. Wide front and similar rear width. I doubt Mazda will put a AWD MS3.
delhi 10-24-2008, 01:17 PM too small for my taste. Need space. Wish Mazda brought the new Mazda6 in wagon format!
nycgps 10-24-2008, 01:22 PM In Japan they do have AWD option for the 3.
MattMPS 10-24-2008, 02:29 PM In Japan they do have AWD option for the 3.
yes. it was launched 2 years ago......
it's seems the same system of cx-7/Ms6/cx-9

bulletproof21 10-24-2008, 04:25 PM why do they always have to make the suped up mazdaspeed version out of the ugly ass hatch. Make a damn coupe already and supe that up for god sakes.
Rhawb 10-24-2008, 04:28 PM I think the hatch body style was more fitting, especially with those big rear fender haunches, IMO. Plus hatches are way more popular in other countries than they are here. It would be nice if they had both a sedan and hatch version though.
JRichter 10-24-2008, 04:57 PM why do they always have to make the suped up mazdaspeed version out of the ugly ass hatch. Make a damn coupe already and supe that up for god sakes.
America is the only market that doesn't like hatches.
I think they should make a 3-door hatch version of this car.
Cattywampus 10-24-2008, 10:12 PM In Japan they do have AWD option for the 3.
Sweet. That's one hell of an option. If they make the AWD option for the MS3 then they should make a FI option for the 8. Never going to happen but one can wish, right?
nycgps 10-24-2008, 10:15 PM You can ONLY wish ... nothing will be given :P
I like the hatch version more than the 4 door version.
Blah, too bad no AWD option nor will there be one.
YaXMaNGTO 10-24-2008, 10:47 PM Bad ass. I hope the front isn't ugly... the body lines on the hatch are awesome. That car has some potential.
RedefineRX8 10-24-2008, 11:03 PM more effort into making the econoboxes faster, less emphasis on making its "flagship sports car" any faster. seeing this just pisses me off haha
nycgps 10-25-2008, 12:43 AM What can we do ?
Auto Companies will always sell more Econbox than any flagship halo sports car. Its the same for everyone of them out there. and those Econbox is what keeps the company going.
Only a few companies have some flagship car thats significantly faster than the rest of their lineup. Like Covertte(GM), GT-R(Nissan), etc.
Even Toyota/Lexus does not have one. what ? IS-F ? sure it has 416 hp. but its not really their flagship car nor it is that much faster than the rest of their lineups.
Steiner 10-26-2008, 12:50 AM Looks good. However I doubt that the exchange rates right now would allow for it to be AWD for less than $35K in the US...although it's about damn time somebody else threw their hat in the "STi vs Evo" battle. It doesn't look like Ford is interested and VW hasn't figured out that putting their more tuneable 2.0L turbo in thqt fat-a$$ R32 would also save some weight.
Senna 10-26-2008, 06:46 PM :scratchhe For some reason I've always been leary of odd number cylinder engines. But 300 HP would be nice.
