Ok so Seatown and I took the day off on friday. We had planned to meet some of the DFW crowd going down, but havent finalized details yet since we have two different meet schedules between FW and D.

The plan was to meet at a Mcdonalds on the way there. The question is what time do most of you want to meet there, and what is the exact address. Once we meet do we have a planned set of roads down (I ususally always take 35 but know that wasnt the case this time)

Seatown is determined to get my lazy butt out of bed and be at my house for 9 (bastard) so I guess that puts us meeting there sometime after that. Wouldnt suggest any earlier due to traffic concerns (and my sanity as I will kill Seatown if he wants me up an earlier)

Also I have two, two way radios, one for me and Seatown, just reminding the rest of you.

Those of us meeting there:
1. Riley
2. Seatown
3. Creto
4. Lord ET

There's a McDonalds at the NE corner of 67 and 35W (google maps won't show the address correctly, but I looked it up on Micky D's site to verify).

If we meet up there at 10 - 10:30, we can roll into Kerville between 3 and 3:30.

Here's a route with the preferred path: map (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=TX-67&daddr=31.79589,-98.118896+to:2127+Sidney+Baker+Street+kerrville,+t x&hl=en&geocode=FeCh7gEdm3I0-g%3B%3B&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=9&via=1&sll=32.070938,-97.77832&sspn=1.80369,2.471924&ie=UTF8&ll=32.252297,-97.470703&spn=1.800104,2.471924&z=9)

That route doesn't provide a whole lot of excitement, but it does keep us off 35.

Who all is meeting at McDonalds besides the three of us?

So 10ish at the micky ds. tomorrow. The route is really easy to get there. in Hico there is a place we can stop called the koffe kup, or something like that, and it has killer pies.

We will have time to blow, so I am sure we can stop somewhere. How many cars are meeting up to go down there? 4?

Definitely stop in Hico! You can buy cases of the Dublin Dr. Peppers...the ones made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. It's like liquid crack!!

:Eyecrazy: OMG - you have an RX8 that will take corners like it is on a rail and you want to go straight? Say it isn't so.

Y'all meeting at 67 and I-35 - cut over west to Cleburne - take 174 south to Meridian then 22 over to Hamilton. Take 281 out of Hamilton to Evant - Take 84 West to Goldthwaite - Take 16 south to Kerrville.

I realize 281 goes about where you want it to, but 16 has more twisties, less traffic and great scenery. If you wimp out and take 281 you take it south to Johnson City then 290 west to Fredericksburg and then 16 south to Kerrville.

Once you get to Kerrville, stay on 16, go under I-10 and the Whitten is on the left.

OK, I am about to bust I want to go so badly.

Well your under the assumption that the only car I have is the RX-8, (am married so we tend to drive the cx-7 which gets better mileage) Also I tend not to like back roads as the require me to go trhough traffic lights and stop signs, which I tend to view as an inefficient use of my time. But this isnt exactly a normal situation and following others is going to be a blast!

Actually I was just messin with you. I didn't try to assume anything.

We also have a CX-9 and it is fun on the backroads as well. The small towns and stop lights, I don't view as inefficient, I view them as a chance to slow down, tight the seat belt, catch my breath and get ready for the next 15 or 20 miles

Well, we could always go this way (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=Alvarado,+TX&daddr=2005+to:TX-16+to:30.469981,-98.828888+to:2127+Sidney+Baker+St,+Kerrville,+TX+7 8028&hl=en&geocode=%3BFcxA4gEdyLoj-g%3BFTA91wEdFKYe-g%3B%3B&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=3&sz=10&via=1,2,3&sll=30.47945,-98.75061&sspn=0.61424,1.235962&ie=UTF8&ll=31.334871,-98.184814&spn=2.434943,4.943848&z=8) if we want more turns and don't mind it taking another hour to get there, and it still takes us through Hico.

That and a butt load of heavy truck traffic working the shale rigs on the ro.ad between Cleburne and Glen Rose.

And you could go on over to Dublin - get the DP at the source then to Comanche, catch 16 and head south.

The options are limitless (well pretty much)

Woah, woah, woah...Scott isn't going either-why did I catch all the hell at the Flips meet the other night?! Haha, he'd better have a crazy good excuse to not only miss the state meet but embed his Dragon pics in yall's thread! ;)

Really though, I was hoping I could pull something off by this weekend but I still cannot make it. You guys all be careful, have a blast, and bring back a full report with a ton of pics!!

Well I did give Scott SOME hell for not coming, but he does have a good reason... he is no longer in the country.... He is in Central America with his family on vacation.
