I'm at 54,000 km (not miles) and I am changing out my spark plugs shortly. Any need to replace the OEM wires?

I am quite sure the engine bay does not get too hot considering my climate.

I would say your probably alright. Five years is when most change them out. It's only about fifty dollars. Hope you are getting NGK plugs.

Are aftermarket wires "warranty approved"?

Are aftermarket wires "warranty approved"?As that question deals with the warranty statement and laws of your country, you may want to post that question in the Canadian forum.

the OEM wires are trash. I used a multimeter and measured mine at 2,7oo ohms of resistance (5 years old). The spec from mazda is 1,000-4,000 ohms. My new ones from BHR are 40-60 ohms...
