Seriously. I was just thinking back to my experience at the NASA HPDE at Putnam Park just this last weekend, and everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, was really friendly and welcoming. God, I've never seen a collection of 100+ people who are so friendly and willing to help you everywhere they can. Hell, I've met worse people at church and other religious centers (so-called places of holiness).
I've met cuntbags and idiots at autocrosses and other non-racetrack related events, but never at a racetrack. Why is this? Not saying I WANT cuntbags at the track, it's just fascinating to me, a naturally cynical person.
If there is one in every group; and you don't see them....... well.:101384_l:
J/K. But you were asking for it.

The only people I've met that are a little much are the "pros" at HPDE's. Everyone else from the guy in the Gallardo to the guy in the stripped out Civic are super cool and nice people. I think it's just because it's a bunch of people with a common interest who are genuinely happy to meet people from all walks of life and see "what they brung.":bigok:

Was at one yesterday. Everyone was super nice and good natured. No Porsche pricks there. I think most of the people you're thinking of never bother to attend track days they're just buying a name plate and a shiny car for Friday night. I imagine most of the people at those track days with the expensive cars probably hate those people worse because it makes a bad name for them.

However your observation is mostly accurate.
