Titanium, The 8 looks great!

What are your thoughts regarding the xpel clear bra? I.E. - What was your experience with having it put on and how did it turn out? I am considering it but have by reservations. One: finding the right people to put it on correctly (I did the search on their website and a few names popped up and the closest one is an hour away) Two: When a rock hits it and for instance; knicks the bra, what kind of mark does it leave and if there is one, can it be smoothed out. I know how the fix a chip but not a knick in a clear bra. I figure it will detur most of the small stones that find their way to the car but what about the ones that fall from that f-n dump truck on the freeway. I know you all know what I'm talking about. The one that slides over in front of you at the last minute and then your trapped behind it with grandma in her Sable to the right and the guy having a bad day and doing 60 in the express lane to your left. Aargh! Somebody move already!

I am waiting on a guy to me call back and give me an estimate on the whole front end. I'm assuming around $600 for parts including labor. Yes? Also, On the xpel website they have a kit for the whole front end minus the front spoiler. Did you have that done also or did you leave that undone? Is there and option for the front spoiler out there that you have heard of? Thanks in advance for your (or anyone elses) help in advance.

The Xpek kit is awesome. I took a road trip to Cleveland and I think the clear bra saved my 8 from a lot of chips. When I arrived I looked at the bra and I saw a couple of small indent marks whick may have been rock chips. By that afternoon in the sun though lot of the indents were gone. The kit smoots out when heat is applied to it. Initially I had some wrinkles but after applying a heat gun they all went away. I also had my right mirrow redone because of a bad wrinkle that would not come out with heat. The guy who installed it just ripped right off with some effort and without ruining the paint. I asked him if paint does ever come off? He told me if you do get paint job that 's less than a month old and then put the kit on you do risk the chance of ruining the paint. And to answer your last part of the question, the guy who installed my clear bra made a custom piece for my front air dam. The whole kit and labor cost me $600 which included hood, front nose, fender flares, front air dam, mirrors, door cups, and door sills. Great deal.

I have exactly the same setup as you excpt w/o the clear corners and strakes. Im def. getting the clear corners, but i was wondering if you think the strakes are worth it?
