Well, without warning my car died yesterday. It was as if the fuel just cut out. I had it towed to the Mazda dealer, and they called me this morning. Mazda told them to put in a new engine. I have 97,050 miles on the car ... just got under the wire.

I have to consider this a mixed blessing. Anyway ... OD, Flash, I'm joining this elite club.

Damn Kurt.
Mixed blessing is right.
But I think if someone told me I would get a basically free new engine at 97K I would say please and thank you!

Two motors, Phlash, what have you been doing to that car?

The first replacement started blowing oil out of the side of one of the rotor seals after 600 miles......dealer was great and the car is now running like a top......I just have no faith or trust in it anymore.

I love my car but she knows the relationship we have is on a downward spiral.....she'll have a new home within the next eight to twelve months. I am slowly searching......fruits of my labor about the ongoing slow search are posted on the GA club forum.

Hurt Bob--did it have anything to do with that suger you put in your tank?:)
Swoope --your car will probaly run BETTER after the track event.
Yall need to get secondary radiators!!
Phlash I feel your aggrivation(hehe--spelling), just go FI like I did and you will change your mind. You either learn a hell of a lot or you set beside the road.

The guy in the store told me it was "Octane Boost." How did I know it was just sugar?
