Take a look at Amazon.com for clean a "no fuss" buying procedures for both buying now and pre-orders. Check out how they set up shipping on pre-orders (DVDs). They give just enough information (giving consumer confidence) and they treat it like a sale without knowing the exact amount.

I know that I would have bought at least three things from you already if you had something in place.
