At the beginning of June 08' I installed a Headerback TurboXS exhaust, in which the midpipe deleted the cat, and that was my only mods besides a Agency power crank pulley, and my check engine light was always on, of course, due to no cat and the o2 sensor is picking up a bad emissions.

Mid summer i installed an aem CAI. In which I reflashed my ecu after the install to accommodate for the intake my CEL went off for a day, then came back on.

Towards the end of the summer, i herd an exhaust leak from under the car, i checked where the midpipe connected to the stock pipe from the headers. and thats where the leak was, i put a new gasket on, and gasket sealer/maker. After about 12hours, i started her up and was no leaks in that spot. Nor was there leaks at any other connection where theres a gasket. my CEL went back on for a few days, then went off again, went under the car, checked for leaks, no signs. I reflashed the ecu again, and since, the CEL has not turned back on. I don't mind it off, but is there any reason it could just turn off? Especially if theres no leaks before the cat? I don't get it, Unless my o2 sensor went bad, and isnt picking up a bad emissions reading?

Let me know if it can be anything i have to worry about. Maybe a crack in the exhaust piping itself?

well i know with my old car.. after so many start ups the CEL will go away and just reset it self.. if it is for the same thing.. such as the CAT...it might be different with the RX8 but im not sure... that is my guess

You don't need to reflash the computer after a CAI. Not sure about the no CEL though. I had a midpipe on mine before and also never got a CEL. Not sure why you would and now don't.

has it ever occured to you that maybe your car just thought

"fuck this, I've been trying for 4 months now, he just won't listen to me!.......sigh, do what you have to do"

soon after, you'll find that your car has been secretly sleeping in your best friend's garage, and that she's been faking all the sounds

An exhaust leak won't effect the O2 sensor unless it's so giant absolutely NO exhaust is reaching the sensor, which would be pretty unlikely.
