Diamond Jim: I am interested! I would really like to know how it holds up to water spotting. I live in South Florida where it rains quite often and I get tired of washing the car daily, the only other product that worked well with water spotting was a professional teflon job I had years ago, the water just ran of the car, it never even beaded, also with that teflon job, all I had to do was rinse the car off when it was dirty. Most waxes can make a car look good, very few to none can prevent water spotting!

I HIGHLY recommend you visit www.s2000online.com, goto the Wash-n-Wax forum and read the CG reviews... I did a long extensive test against CG, ad quite frankly-- its complete and utter shit.

Ohh-- as far as holding up to water spots... it doesn't. At ALL. The test-panel I used (the actual test was over about a 1 month period), was near my sprinkler system for my yard so it got nailed every 3 days.

Talk about a mess... The CG was completely gone withing a few days after applying, and horrid waterspot remained behind. Even the cheapest waxes are far superior.

In reality, however, Zaino is the best stuff I've used (out of everything). The best "wax" (though I prefer synthetic polymers like Zaino) was P21S.

Anyway, take a look at www.zainobros.com and the s2k forums... We have done a lot of wax testing,etc... lots of good info over there.

Actually I have used the Crystal Guard quick and been very happy with it. It doesn't hide scratches so you really need to take those out before applying crystal guard. It does take some time to cure 3-4 days. So washing it before letting it fully cure will surely wash it off. The shine is really nice. It's very reflective. It's not as deep like my s100 but it's pretty close.

Well.. don't forget the fact it provides no protection and washes off about as easily as it washed on..

The ONLY reason your car looked good after using it..was because it was probably a new car with decent paint to begin with... want your car to have that REALLLY-SHINY-LOOK?? Apply olive-oil to it... same idea. It'll look shiny for a few days... then goto poop.

I heard Zaino was very good as well, I think I'll just stick with Mcguires

Well.. althought i can see that there would be some non belivers on Zaino cuz the price, i just thought I'd through my 2 cents in... thanks to the MASSIVE amount of posts with nothing but positive comments I Decided to hook up the Zaino..... People who said that it's nothing but a snake oil obviously haven't used it. Because I have tried it myself and lasted for quite sometimes (2 months) on my daily driver. I have only tried the CGQ and liked it. The only drawback is it doesn't fill scratches and swirls. One of you guys should try it and post an honest opinion about the product. It's a little pricey but it is indeed a nice product. You guys have nothing to lose since the guy is giving it away.

I was being facitious. It was professionally installed on my car by the dealership which I got at no charge and I just keep it clean with Zymol and lots of TLC. The shine I get is better with Zymol on it, but I haven't tried the Zaino product line yet and I haven't tried the CGQ. I do know that the Zymol did completely cover the one scratch I found on the car after delivery.

Since I already have other products on my car, I feel that someone else would be able to give a more unbiased opinion about the product. Then I will read that review with an open mind and make a decision.

The biggest problem I have with my car is the front windshield and some of the pitting I am seeing in it when I am facing into sunlight. The paint on the front appears to be more protected than the glass. It's either a soft glass compound, lack of any protection on the glass or just the hazard of me driving it too fast. It is my daily driver.

Can CG protect the windshield? I read that it has glass and florine in it. But that is something I also don't understand since floric acid eats glass.
