After spending a few months looking at cars, and a few days adicticed to this site, I am proud to announce that I pick up my new RX8 today.

I can also highly recommend Mazda Gallery in Norwood, MA. I worked with Don Slater who very quickly gave me a reasonable and honest price (I promised not to disclose here, but I could not say no to his offer). I cannot comment on service, and am curious what experience others have had in the Boston area.

It all came down to feel for me. The G35 was $4K more on MSRP, and the dealer seemed most unwilling to negotiate. The TSX felt like a front wheel drive BMW wannabe. I've driven a 328i for six year, 173,000 miles, and way too much money replacing sensors, electrical motors, etc...it was time to return to a fun Japanese car.

I COULD NOT STOP SMILING BOTH TIMES I DROVE THE RX-8.

It amazed me that this was less expensive and more fun than any other car I had yet seen.

I also read all the stuff about power on this site. If I wanted more performance, I suppose I could have looked at the Subaru or Mitsu hot rods, but seriously...how many people think these cars have a fraction of the style of the RX8.

I was concerned about space. I had one adult and my 11 year old daughter sit in the rear seats. Both said it was better than the G35 Coupe...I was shocked.

Thanks to all the quality contributions on this website. Buying a new car is a huge decision, and all of your public comments helped me understand the good and bad points of this choice. I look forward to many years of fun drving and enjoyable reading on this site.

Welcome to the NE group of 8 owners and glad you are so happy with your new fun-car and the dealer experience you had :D! I've had mine for 4+ months and am still grinning :D:D:D and contantly pestering my wife about where she might want to go next... but of course I have to drive her there!!

I got mine at Seacoast Mazda in Portsmouth, NH and they are also an excellent dealership. Small, but very personable, great service dept and techs and I feel they really want me to be happy, and stay happy with my purchase. Only cudos to them , :D , and they too have great discounts on their stock of 8s.

It IS amazing at the very reasonable price of such a great car as the 8! Some of their stock of 8s is at something like $26K I think! It's AMAZING that this car can be had for SO LITTLE compared to others out there. Heck, what does an Accord cost these days, about the same I think?

Mazda ROCKS and I think they are doing lots of the right things to win over both old and new customers alike, despite everything!
