Napboy 11-28-2003, 05:56 PM and the next one:
RX8FanMan 11-28-2003, 06:02 PM looks good
Omicron 11-28-2003, 06:57 PM Looks nice man. Were you able to keep the stock TPMS sensors on the wheels?
Literatii 11-28-2003, 06:58 PM Would look even better with front air-dam, and side/rear aero-flares.
8_wannabe 11-28-2003, 06:59 PM Nice!
Fab 8 11-28-2003, 08:00 PM Looks great! Filled up the arches nicely, and reduced the gaps too.
iamcanadian 11-28-2003, 08:51 PM Sweet. Should look perfect with the eibach's installed. Post new pics when they are in!
mikeb 11-28-2003, 08:52 PM that is so sweet

No sensors. The TPMS light just stays on. Don't even notice it.
XDEEDUBBX 11-29-2003, 03:58 PM thumbs up..looks clean...how many inches are you dropping it?
brothervoodoo 11-29-2003, 04:02 PM Nice wheels and nice blue.. put some strakes on that thing!
KC_RX-8 11-29-2003, 06:40 PM beautiful!!! but the tire sensor light continuously on would drive me crazy!!! i know it did that to me when i changed my wheels.

the eibachs claim to drop 1.2". i think MikeB has posted some pics of his red 8 lowered with eibachs.
RX-GR8 11-29-2003, 08:05 PM love the rims.
EXA4DRIVER 11-30-2003, 12:17 AM Very nice. How much? And what offsets are you running?
SA22C 11-30-2003, 10:10 AM Very nice indeed. Do you think you will have to roll the fender lips with the lowering springs? I don't know if you have 1.2 inches to spare. ;)

The offsets for both the front and rear and is 45mm, but there are some fitment issues in the rear. Read below.

The offsets are not perfect in the rear. The rears did not clear the calipers so I had to get 5mm spacers to get them to fit. So the problem now is I will have to roll the fender lip. I'm not sure even that will give me the clearance I need. I'm moving to 3mm spacers to bring the wheels in a tad. After I lower it and get it aligned, we'll see what that does. My last two options are to go to 265's in the rear or send the wheels back and get different ones. Unfortunately, not many 19 x 9.5 are made in the 45-50 offset range. Any other suggestions?
SDFLY 11-30-2003, 12:59 PM I hope the 3mm spacers help, those rims are sweet!
Kevin
MARYDOLL 11-30-2003, 11:40 PM Looks sweet! It definitely needs those side markers to complete the look.

Unfortunately, side strakes are at the bottom of my priority list right now. I think next (after lowering, of course) is a stereo upgrade.
takahashi 12-01-2003, 03:03 AM I love 19" but 9.5 is that too wide.
How heavy is that with tyres compare with stock?
I want some light 18" like the SSR Type C. Agree?
But man that looks good now I don't know what I am going to get now
9-K Rever 12-01-2003, 07:28 AM Oh yeah those are nice but, I have to say the TPMS light would drive me bonkers...see if ya can pull the fuse..
Looks awsome!
demonfire 12-01-2003, 09:57 AM Did you consider getting wheels in gunmetal or black? I think that would look super trick on a blue 8.
:)

Can it ever be TOO wide?
Seriously though, I estimate the wheels to be about 5 lbs. heavier than stock. These are definitely about looks and less about performance gains. There is not much difference in feel compared to the stock wheels, but the steering does feel a bit heavier.
As for the TPMS light, it surprising doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't beep or flash, it just stays on. It's kinda like the headlight light. If that bothers you, then this probably will. Small price to pay, I think,
Mazda man 12-02-2003, 08:15 AM They are really nice Napboy. I also think they would look good in gunmetal, but I don't know about black.
As for the TPMS light, can't you just take the bulb out? I have never seen one so I don't know if it is possible or not.

There have been numerous threads about disabling the light, but it doesn't bother me at all right now. Eventually when it wears on me (and if there's a simple solution), I'll do it.
As for the color, gunmetal would be awesome. Of course, it's not a color choice from the company and I don't have the money to have them done right now. I guess I should get a job soon!
mikeb 12-02-2003, 01:11 PM no job+new rims=????

here you go. not the greatest pic, but you get the idea.
got 8 12-09-2003, 09:22 PM thanks for the pics
I think they are perfect expecially from the rear. the width of those tires reallly show in relation to the car. It gives it a sure footed , just look bullish(in a good way) not doggish, reminds me of my fc with 245 in the rear. and those rims are my favorite of all, I might get the same setup, maybe different brand not to take that away from you.

Just a word of warning. I'm having some fitment issues in the rear in that the 19x9.5 would not clear the brake caliper. It required 5mm spacers. Now the rear wheel with 275's sticks out a tad too much. I'm afraid to lower the car because I'll have to roll the fenders to make it fit properly.
I'm working on a solution (including getting new wheels) so I'll keep you posted.
jonalan 12-10-2003, 02:19 PM I think we've just been mooned! :0
leegina 02-07-2004, 01:10 AM Napboy, sent you a pm!
Rotary Nut 02-07-2004, 09:42 PM Great wheels. Dude you beat me to it! Where did you get those wheels? I fell in love with those since I saw them on an Audi A4 in the latest issue of European Car magazine.
310Guy 02-08-2004, 08:08 PM Isn't that the Mazdatrix RX-8? I thought they had one like that with those rims. Maybe I'm confused...
JeupRX-8 02-09-2004, 12:02 AM Could you post or pm me a pic of the rear? That is exactly what I would like to do with my 8, but with a 10" rear wheel. How does it handle, and how much was this package for you?
Thanks,
Troy J.
Napboy 02-09-2004, 02:36 AM Here's some updated pics taken at the Socal RX meet up last month. I eventually had to downsize to the 19 x 8.5 to make the rear fit properly. I still kept the 275/30/19 on the rear though. The tire barely fit.
Napboy 02-09-2004, 02:38 AM i now have a set of 5mm wheel spacers. anyone want to buy them?
