Here's a quick how to.

Drop the coilover out and remove the plate that secures the side of the top hat.

You can then get to the strut.

I used 1/4" Fuel Injection hose (stronger), filed out the inside a bit to get it started over the top adjuster. This was for JIC coilovers.

Simple to do, and otherwise, you can't adjust the dampning of the coilovers without dropping them in the rear!

Yeah, it's old skool, but very very effective, and should help out those that are considering coilovers!

BTW, out from hardest was Front 8, Rear 7, and I can not wait for autox tomorrow!!!!

I had my rears at 4, and it was pretty hard, the car is well balanced with just a little oversteer for the street with a mild ride! But I'm gonna crank the rears down at the autox tomorrow, probably down to this setup:

R: 3
F: 5
and do the first session baseline from them!

Wow was I wrong at autox, but I had my best results with...

F - 8
R - 6

Any more than that, and the car felt a bit over dampened in some situation. The rear adjusters came in VERY handy, but it takes a while to "feel" the adjustments. I had to try to listen a few times, then bring them all the way in to verify that they were where I wanted them.

Well worth it, and at those settings, they even feel good on the street.

I thought this was gunna be like the EDFC that Tein uses on their systems... nevermind.

This does not affect the spring hanger or ride height at all, right? Just the damping?

Just the dampning! It would be cool to have an edfc like adjuster, and JIC is supposedly working on an adjuster... but no info if it's gonna be manual or electric.

Most of this is old school, but without it, you would have to drop the rear suspension to make an adjustment.

Yes, ultimately, I would like a full electrically actuated adjuster system with independent damping controls.

That would be Shweet! ...except the cost, of course.
