I was wonderng of the people who mounted their autobahn sides with just the tape and didnt make brackets how have they held up? How many miles have you gone and so on?

Mine are only held on by the sides. I have 3M tape on the sideskirts but they aren't being used anymore. This is because the tabs don't exactly touch the side of the body. The skirts do, but the tab that the 3M is applied to doesn't completely. I've had them on for 2 years/28k miles and they're still on strong. If you have the replica, I can't tell how sturdy they are and if they will sag or not, since I have heard people complain about the fronts sagging/dipping. You can heat them up and press the them against the body with 3M tape to seal. I believe that would work fine. just keep the sides bolted up well to help support it.
