Before I take the final plunge and order one, I would like forum members advice on the situation regarding engine flooding as it is posted frequently on the US and Canadian sites. I would be interested if any European owners had experienced this, especially in cold weather. This is a major concern as I cannot remember the last time I flooded a conventional engine and I need the bloody thing to start in the morning.
I would appreciate serious advice on this subject.
PS. Why are most americans obsessed with straight line speed? Do they not have bends?

Various problems have been reported on damp starts but there is a solution in previous threads. I have not had the problem and the car is out all day in this crap weather.
