At some point we have all made choices in life that we look back on and go, "What the F was i thinking?" This is one of those moments i believe for you my friend. Its an easy fix though man, put ur stockers back on, they look way better than those chrome Kmart looking rims on there now. These go beyond the whole"if you like em" route and need to be taken off:)

when i first looked at them i was just hopeing i wasnt gonna be the only one to say i didnt like them, i dunno why they just dont look right, i think lots of colors can pull of a nice clean look with chrome wheels, im just not liking those. i agree i would put the stockers back on sell those and try again. but were not the ones driving the car so if you like them than go with it, your the one that has to live with them not us

Well I'll admit, chrome wheels don't look all that great on the 8. The wheel design isn't all that great either-makes them look smaller.

Here's my thoughts, if you really like the wheels-or just wanted something different until you can afford something better-spend a couple hundred $ on some lowering springs and get the clear corners. I can turn out better than expected. Good luck:icon_tup:

I'm not a fan of the "bling look" unless its JDM style but thats just me. If you like them thats all that counts :)
I also dont like hubcaps and rims with no off set.

Well i hated the stock wheels, and it makes it look way too plain. I had the factory chrome wheels and they were peeling a little and didn't really like them all that well. I am planning on getting some more chrome accessories for the outside to blend everything in.

not digging the chrome look, but there are better chrome wheels out there as well.

As for the gunmetal and/or black wheels... I do realize there are opinions out there... but in this case I'd say that opinion is limited to preference. That is to say, there are looks/designs/matches that will/do look good. It might not be your preference, but as a general rule, it looks good. Often black and gunmetal fit into that group. Though maybe my views of the topic are a bit off... I just feel there are classic looks that are hard to go wrong with (similar to fashion and designing in general)

I think most of those cars look horrible with the black wheels. I have always thought that makes them look cheap. Now some chrome wheels look cheap also, but i think its the much better way to go

I think its the centers that are turning most off. An 8 w/o the lugs showing, just doesn't look right, IMO. Granted My first set has turned some away as well, but The longer I have them on, The more I personally like them. I considered Chrome, and a black chrome before I went with Bronze..but my car is a different color. Some of the suggestions for clears and things will pull it all together Im sure. It just takes time and $$$.

Chrome is not the problem, its just those are bad. Chrome can be done properly, but those look like theyre from walmart. too small, too blingy.

Too many rx-8s are very busy. with the oem appearance package and strakes, it already looks too busy. Then you get people slapping chrome and stickers all over the place, putting cheap terrible rims on there. And you get a nice civic. 8s should be kept clean and true to the original lines and smoothness of the car.

If you insist on chrome, go look at enkei's website. The rsv, zr1, or even gtc-01 would all look a million times better in their SBC (chrome that isnt technically chrome). Theyre chromey, but much MUCH cleaner. theyre a little more expensive than those, but do you really want your 2x,xxx$ car sitting on a 400$ set of rims? (Good) Metal isnt cheap. Yours will flake or break, its only a question of when and which happens first. If your oem chromes flaked, I cant see these fairing any better. Im gonna guess you never waxed the barrel, so your brake dust has already started eating these. Sell them while they're still worth anything and buy the enkeis.

I went to look at enkei website and there are tons more offered in SBC than i remembered... Im sure koenig has too... plenty of "cheaper" but still great brands.

I used to roll on chrome but they got too dirty too fast.. all the black dust... so I got black rims which wouldnt look dirty... now the dirt has a red shade to it. stupid nature.

They actually have a small lip. They are Cruiser 600C wheels. No i actually live in Kentucky, just a huge Texas fan. Always have been

first of all, i paid for these out of my own money. Yes they bought me the car, but i have paid for all the maintenance and extra stuff on it. Please don't start all that shit about being spoiled cause its not the case. These wheels were over $1000 so say they look cheap if u want but they were far from it. I have connections in the car business, so thats how i have a nice car. I work at my uncles car lot to earn the money to put into my car.

Id be willing to give it another shot. Take some better pictures.
Try a 3/4 shot at the front fender from door-handle height. or a flat profile shot.

I made the same mistake with my first set of wheels. They were 17" Chrome and didnt even look like they belonged on the car, spent way too much on them also > $1000. You live and you learn.
